Jakhya is also known as Jakhiya or Jakia in Sanskrit, is an important medicinal herb used in Ayurveda. It is called Wild Mustard and the seeds are dark brown to black in color, mainly used to add texture to foods. Jakhya leaves are also used in treating ulcers and promoting wound healing.
